Find Your Track. Earn Your Certification.

The Bob Pike Group offers two levels of recognition.

The first are Event Badges, which reward attendance at our annual signature events—Spring Fling Virtual Event and the Creative Training Techniques Conference. They acknowledge your commitment to Participant-Centered learning. To learn more about earning Event Badges, visit the respective conference pages.

The second—and the focus of this page—is a role-based credential earned by completing three courses within your chosen track—Trainer, Designer, Presenter, or Training Leader. There is a renewal requirement every two years to keep your skills current.

Together, our Event Badges and Role-Specific Certifications are designed to meet you where you are—whether you're new to L&D or a seasoned professional.

How to Earn Your Certification

Step 1 | Choose Your Learning Track

Select the track that matches your role: Trainer, Designer, Presenter, or Training Leader.

Step 2 | Complete Your Courses

Complete all Foundation courses for your track. If your track has fewer than three Foundation courses, choose enough courses from the remaining sections to reach three total. All three must be completed within two years.

Step 3 | Submit Your Work Product

Once your courses are complete, submit your track's work product along with a $169 certification fee:

• Trainer — a 15-minute facilitation recording
• Designer — a complete 15-minute training segment
(slides, handout, leader's guide, and flow)
• Presenter — a 15-minute recording of you presenting
• Training Leader — an original work product or process

Step 4 | Receive Expert Feedback & Your Certification

You'll receive expert feedback on your submission — so you walk away with both your certification and a path to keep improving.

Step 5 | Keep Your Certification Current

Every two years, complete one additional course from your track's list — or attend Spring Fling or the Annual CTT Conference.

Why Get Certified?

Earning your Bob Pike Group Certification is more than a credential — it's proof that you've done the work, applied the participant-centered methodology, and committed to training that actually gets results.

  • Stand out in your field. Add a recognized, role-specific credential to your résumé, LinkedIn profile, and email signature that signals real expertise—not just attendance.

  • Get expert eyes on your work. Every certification includes personalized feedback from a BPG expert, giving you actionable insight you won't get from completing a course alone.

  • Build on a proven methodology. Your certification is grounded in nearly 50 years of Participant-Centered Learning—backed by neuroscience, tested across industries, and proven worldwide.

  • Join renowned company. Become part of a wide alumni network of professionals from organizations including 95% of the Fortune 100 who share your commitment to participant-centered training.

  • Stay sharp with a built-in growth loop. The two-year renewal isn't a hurdle—it's a built-in nudge to keep learning and stay current in your craft.

  • Carry a credential that means something. Because certification requires demonstrated work product—not just seat time—it reflects real commitment and demonstrated competence in your role.
