TEOTWAWKI

TEOTWAWKI is an acronym for, “The end of the world as we know it.” R.E.M.’s song by the same name states in the familiar refrain of the chorus: “It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.” So to survive the downturn in training, I suggest you might use the word TEOTWAWKI in a different way. The end of doing no training is near, and we are about to get back to what we trainers know is critical.

We need to start gearing up our training plan because when the tide turns, and the end is here, you and I are going to be expected to be ready to train. You will have to have sharpened your axe during the slow time so you can cut some major wood. Here are three things I suggest you do:

  • Attend a self-development course to help you with your attitude because you know it will determine your altitude.
  • Subscribe to a daily positive quote of the day. I use Bob Proctor but I am sure there are others equally as good.
  • Hang around positive people. You are who you hang with.

So as we prepare for TEOTWAWKI, be the first to lead the way. You will be glad you did. See you on the other side of the end.
