I’m talking about the burning questions on their minds as they’re about to click “join” and enter your virtual training.
Surprisingly, you can answer all three questions before your webinar even starts. Here’s how.
You can give learners an immediate feel for your personality and make an implied promise regarding the level of fun they’ll have in your training.
You can give learners a chance to get to know each other, build rapport, and set them up to tap into the combined wisdom in the room.
And perhaps most importantly, you can let learners practice the webinar tools you’ll use to engage them throughout your training, so they have more confidence participating in your content. (These tools include stamping, typing and drawing on the screen, using the chat box, using polls, etc.)
One of the most effective ways to accomplish this is by utilizing ice breaker slides, aka “soft openers.”
Open the virtual meeting room 15 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin, and allow learners who tune in early to engage with these kinds of activities.
Here are 23 ice breaker slides you can adapt, adopt, and apply immediately. Which one will you use first?

So how could you use soft openers to help your learners get to know each other and practice the webinar tools you’ll use to engage them in your training?
And which soft opener will you use first?
