Meet Our Keynoters: CTT Rocks 2014

Beyond Boot Camp: Creative Training Techniques Edge!

Neen James, productivity expert, and Ben Cockram, motivational speaker, will be joining us for our twenty-first annual Creative Training Techniques conference in Minneapolis.

With a background in learning and development and managing large teams at various corporations, James has learned a thing or two about super productivity. In her keynote "Folding Time," based on the book of the same title, James will share practical, immediately implementable tips on how to do twice as much in half the time. "Create more significant moments in life that matter," James encourages her listeners. "You don't have time to do everything."

James says the tips you learn at the conference will not only help you in your work as a leader and teammate but also at home.

Ben Cockram was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as an infant, a disability which impacted his body while leaving his mind completely intact but without a way to communicate. His parents were warned he might never walk, drive or live independently. Yet, with caring therapists, support from his parents, and a lot of methodical learning and effort, Ben did learn how to walk and talk and has worked for trucking and bussing companies as a driver! Now he will share with us, with humor and honesty, about his obstacles and how he is testing the assumption that first impressions are always right.

In addition to these great keynotes, you will have your choice of 35 concurrent sessions during the three-day conference and our night of creativity. Breakfasts, lunches and Wednesday night dinner are all included in the conference price.

We also have continuing education credits and the option to receive one of four different training certificates.

And, if you have seen someone in action this last year who exemplifies participant-centered training, we'd love to have you nominate them for the Pike’s Peak Performance Award, a formal recognition of trainers or organizations who have transformed their training by implementing participant-centered, results-based techniques championed by Bob Pike. These techniques involve participants in their own learning instead of relying on an instructor-led, lecture-based format. The award recipients have demonstrated improved retention and training transfer in their sessions by implementing these methods as well as an increased tie-in to business objectives. The recipients are recognized at a luncheon on Wednesday during the conference. Winners receive one complimentary conference registration and up to three half-price registrations. The nomination deadline is August 1, and you can find the form here.

If you attend one conference this year, make it this one! Early bird registration ends May 1. To register, click here
